Maura + Matt | Mill 1 at Open Square Wedding

Winter weddings are often difficult for photographer due to low light, freezing temperatures and clients who would rather be inside. For Maura and Matt, the stars aligned to make it the perfect wedding day. They are both runners, along with most of their bridal party, so the cold temps didn’t deter us from being able to catch some gorgeous shots outside. Maura got ready at her parent’s house, along with her bridal party. Everyone was all smiles as they prepared for the big day. Matt and the groomsmen got ready in a nearby hotel and they all met at the church. Matt’s smile lit up as he saw Maura walking down the aisle to meet him. After their sweet ceremony, we headed over to the Ashley Reservoir, where Maura used to run. The big pine trees and frozen lake made the perfect backdrop for their photos. Maura even got matching gloves for her and her bridesmaids!

Jessica + Sal | Beauport Hotel Wedding

Jessica began getting ready in her family’s home in Stoneham. She is the only girl with 5 brothers who love to tease her yet are very protective of their sister. Everyone was having a great time in the house as they were making the final preparations. Jessica met Sal as she was walking down the aisle of her family’s church. It’s always great to see when two people are married by someone who knows them. In this case the Priest knew Jessica’s whole family!

Copenhagen is a special place for them because Caitlin spent 2 months there during their Junior year at WPI. Leo flew out to meet her at the end of the school year and spent 2 weeks traveling together around Europe. It was their first trip together, which was an amazing experience and made them grow closer.

Cristina + Chris | Turner Hill Wedding

Chris and Cristina met at work in New York City. Their proposal story began at the top of a hike in Manchester, Vermont. Cristina was taking pictures of the view on her camera and Chris got down on one knee behind her and simply said, “Cristina” she turned around, “will you marry me?” It was simple, beautiful and perfect.

Mary Kate + Billy | Grand View Wedding

They say rain is good luck on your wedding day but we are not one for superstition. However, we will say it is good luck when the rain stops just in time for photos outside and then gives way to a gorgeous sunset! Mary Kate and Billy tied the knot during a sweet ceremony at the College of Holy Cross, a very special place to them. They wanted to take advantage of the beautiful buildings on the campus, especially the Fenwick Building covered in colorful ivy.

Terra + Jamey | The State Room Boston Wedding

Their wedding day was nothing short of perfect. They had their reception and ceremony at The State Room overlooking Boston with a spectacular view. The weather played in our favor for the whole afternoon where we were able to capture some special moments of Terra and Jamey in Post Office Square and Quincy Market. They said their vows to each other right as the sun had set and dusk fell over the city. The most memorable time of the night were the speeches, especially Terra’s father. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house and we even found ourselves crying along with everyone else. Terra and Jamey are two of the most honest and caring people we’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. We know they will be happily together forever!

Alyssa + Eric | Ritz Carlton Boston Wedding

Election Day, 2012 marked the first pre-session for a graduate study abroad intensive in Spain and Morocco. Alyssa and Eric had never met, graduating 4 years apart in undergrad. After some small talk and political banter, they made a friendly wager on the results of the election. Alyssa, the closeted Democrat, lost the bet and owed Eric a vodka y limon once in Spain.

Francesca & Tommy | State Room Boston Wedding

Their wedding day began at the State Room, where they had a traditional tea ceremony honoring their parents and family members. Immediately afterwards, they began their ceremony with Francesca’s brother, Christopher officiating. They wrote vows to each other, which were very sweet and meaningful. After the cocktail hour, we drove around Boston taking photos at the Public Gardens, Beacon Hill, the Charles River and MIT. The reception took place at Empire Garden with an exciting Lion dance to kick off the night. Such a fun and wonderful couple, Tommy joked that he was a “groomzilla” but they sure did put together a beautiful and fun wedding day!

Cindy + Ronald | Elm Bank Engagement Session

It was such pleasure meeting Cindy and Ronald at the beautiful Elm Bank for their engagement session! The two of them love Elm Bank because it was on their list for wedding venues. I asked Cindy what she loved about the gardens and she replied “the greenery, flowers and the openness of the gardens.” We walked around the gardens then the two of them changed into more of a romantic outfit for the second part of their session.

Cindy and Ronald met in college about 5 years ago. They both are very excited about planning their wedding in the mountains of New Hampshire next August. After some jokes and laughs together they didn’t look so shy in front of the camera after all. Congratulations to you both!

Karen + Brian | Mistral Boston Wedding

Their wedding day started off with family in Karen’s room getting ready with their sweet dog, Layla. Brian was anxiously waiting for Karen to finish wondering why it was taking so long! Finally Karen was ready (on time mind you) and they saw each other for the first time in the lobby. We drove to the Harborwalk by the courthouse for some portraits and then to Post Office Square for family photos. After that, we headed over to Mistral for the ceremony.

Paige + John | Omni Parker House Boston Wedding

The two of them had the most beautiful day ever with a vintage twist! They selected the Omni Parker House, which was the perfect venue for their style right in the center of Boston. After getting ready, they had their first look on the top floor surrounded by historic sites. We then took a walk outside to Old City Hall for their portraits. They then had their sweet ceremony in King’s Chapel, which was originally built in 1754 before the founding of the country. There were so many great moments, especially between Paige and her Dad. At one point we thought the floor was going to collapse from so much dancing!

Julie + Jordan | Four Seasons Boston Wedding

Julie and Jordan had a perfect wedding on a late summer's day on Labor Day weekend. All the festivities took place at the Four Seasons in Boston. They had their first look on the grand staircase and then we were off to the public gardens for some portraits. Afterwards they had their Ketubah signing and then their ceremony. The cocktail hour food and drink was the most incredible we've seen with sushi, a margarita bar, tacos, a raw bar and more. Their reception room was also lavishly decorated on mirror tables with impeccable style and floral arrangements.

Mary + Dylan | Tupper Manor Wedding

Mary and Dylan had a fabulous wedding, despite it getting off to a bit of a rocky start. Dylan was biking in the early morning and took a tumble, resulting in a broken wrist! After a few hours spent in the hospital, he was released with a very discreet black splint. He didn't even need any pain meds and was ready to go, arriving at Tupper Manor with plenty of time to spare before the ceremony. What a trooper!

Throughout the day there were so many moments for Nancy and Eugene that held a special place in their hearts. Congratulations to Nancy and Eugene we wish you the best!

Cynthia and Billy began getting ready at a modern AirBnB overlooking a pond on the Cape. They had a short tea ceremony with their parents and then it was off to the Heritage Museum and Gardens. Cynthia changed into her white dress and they had their first look by the fountain. We then walked with the bridal party around the extensive grounds. From secret gardens to a tree house to an old fashioned carousel, every corner we turned there was beauty!

Lisa + Ben | Elm Bank Garden Wedding

Lisa & Ben got married at the beautiful Elm Bank where mother nature made her appearance and graced us with some showers. The rain didn't stop us from going throughout the gardens and capturing Lisa & Ben in love. Lisa's dress was one of a kind, her mom had so many memorable "something borrowed" pieces for her to wear that meant so much to them both. From Lisa's baby ring (that still fit her!) to her grandmothers, and grandfathers pins. These two were real troopers with all the curve balls that were thrown at us throughout the day. Their wedding day will certainly be one to remember not for the rain but for their devotion to each other.
