Lauren and Bernie’s State Room Boston wedding was simply put, beautiful and authentic. They could think of no better spot then right in the center of Boston, including the seaport, the financial district and the North End to really feature their home city. They began getting ready at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf in separate rooms. The ladies were busily preparing (with the kids in tow!) with a gorgeous view of the fall foliage out their window. The guys were enjoying their drinks out of custom made tumblers as they got ready. After reading sweet notes to each other, everyone headed off to the ceremony.

The ceremony took place at the St. Leonard Church of Boston in the heart of the North End. The ornate beauty of the church really stood out as they exchanged their vows. After the first kiss, it was off to take photos at nearby Christopher Columbus park. The fall foliage was at it’s peak, with rich yellows and oranges. We took a short walk through the trellis to the waterfront dotted with boats. Finally, we made our way to the State Room, where all the final preparations were being set to welcome the guests for cocktail hour. Once the reception began, there were happy tears, heartfelt speeches and joyous dancing. To top it off, they even served Ben & Jerry’s for dessert! Such a perfect Boston wedding for a wonderful couple. Cheers!

THE STORY

Lauren and Bernie met in June 2016 at a Boston Bruins employee social event at the Pour House in Boston (one of our favorite haunts as well). At the time, Bernie worked for the Boston Bruins and Lauren was invited by her friend to attend. It just so happened to be Bernie's birthday the day they met! They instantly bonded over the fact that they grew up in neighboring towns on the Northshore, both went to Boston College, and had ties to Philadelphia. With so much in common, it was clear they had the perfect base for a long and loving relationship. They both love traveling, adventure and the outdoors. Bernie popped the question exactly 2 years after dating in their Charlestown apartment just before attending the Zac Brown Band Concert at Fenway.
