How They Met

HOW THEY MET

XueWei and Woy met during summer of 2016. Woy was living in Malden, MA while XueWei was living in New Haven, CT. They met in-person a month after connecting online. She was visiting her family in MA so she decided to go on a date with Woy. Their first date was at Select Oyster Bar in Boston. Woy had picked it because she told him that she love seafood. Their second date was a week later in New Haven, CT during labor day weekend. After that, they started their long distance relationship. They had spent 3-years apart before Woy moved into my NY apartment during Labor Day weekend, 2019.

ENGAGEMET STORY

Woy took XueWei to Maui in Hawaii for vacation. She had a feeling that he might propose on this trip since she had found out that he has been working on the engagement ring. He initially planned to propose to her in front of a waterfall during their visit to the Road to Hana but there was no breathtaking waterfall like he had imagined. He ended up proposing to her in their hotel room. They were both in bathrobes! He called it "intimate" afterward.
