The best kind of wedding is when we come home with sand in our shoes and our faces hurt from smiling so much. Emily & Scott had the best day that felt like it was nonstop excitement from start to finish! They chose to get married at the Dunes Club, where the drinks are cold, the sunsets incredible and the onion rings are crispy (iykyk). Growing up, I’ve spent every summer of my life at the Dunes Club swimming in the blue waves so when Emily reached out, it was a dream to merge my love of the Dunes club and my love of weddings!

Emily began getting ready in the card room with her incredible friends surrounding her. Emily has an indescribable joie-de-vivre and exudes happiness. She’s the type of person who makes friends easily, as was shown by the large guest list of friends and family. Meanwhile, Scott got ready at a friends amazing estate off Ocean Drive overlooking the water.

We met up together at St. Thomas Moore church in Narragansett for their Catholic ceremony. Afterwards, they hopped in an antique Triumph and pealed off (hood down, of course) to drive by the boardwalk. We met back up with them at the Dunes Club for some photos on the grass before the cocktail hour. Once guests arrived, the party really began. It was a hot, sunny day and everyone had shades out, gripping an ice cold cocktail.

Finally, we entered the club for the reception. They had sparklers going off during their first dance to get everyone up on their feet! There were really heartfelt and also some truly hilarious speeches. The crowd roared when Emily’s dad donned a wing, laughing about their strong family resemblance. Finally the band kicked off the dancing and everyone came to the floor to party the night away with glow sticks and more. The highlight was when they put on the Rattlin’ Bog and everyone got around the circle for the old Irish drinking song. What a night!
