Caroline and Even wanted their engagement session to take place somewhere with a variety of natural scenery, so they chose Borderland State Park in North Easton, MA. I hadn’t been there in many years and it was even more beautiful than I remembered. The flowers were in full bloom and the grounds were lush with towering trees and winding stone walls. Of course, the historic mansion was the focal point as a stunning backdrop.
We began the session by exploring around the mansion before heading down a quiet path that led us into the woods. After a short walk, we arrived at the edge of the pond just as the sun was beginning to set. The colors reflected on the water and sky were absolutely magical. To celebrate, Caroline and Evan popped a bottle of champagne, adding the perfect touch to an already especial evening.
They were so easy to talk to and the session felt like spending time with old friends. I’m so excited to photograph their wedding next August at the State Room - it’s going to be an incredible day!
