Mia and Kyle’s August wedding at The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa was a beautiful blend of classic Vermont scenery and deeply personal tradition. Set against the lush green landscape of the resort, their day felt calm, intentional, and centered on what mattered most: family, history, and celebrating together.
We first met Mia and Kyle through Alessandra, one of our previous brides. It’s always such an honor and makes it all the more special for us to capture the weddings of family members who we already know and love. There’s a level of familiarity and trust that makes the experience all the more special.
One of the most meaningful details of the day was Mia’s wedding dress. She wore her mother’s wedding gown that had been specially tailored for her. During the getting ready moments, the connection between mother and daughter was unmistakable. Meanwhile the her bridesmaids brought the fun and the party atmosphere.
Their first look took place in the shade of a big tree near the fountain. Kyle’s face lit up as he saw Mia and immediately pulled her in a tearful embrace. Throughout the day, it was clear that everyone there loved each other deeply and that was exemplified with the many tears and joyful smiles.
The entire day unfolded with ease. There was no press for time and we wandered through the fields. With the ceremony taking place in a big open field, followed by cocktail hour just steps away before guests made their way over to the reception tent. The warm August weather made for the perfect outdoor celebration.
The reception carried the same sense of meaning and joy. The speeches were heartfelt and memorable, especially Mia’s father’s, which was both touching and full of humor. Though he uses a wheelchair, that didn’t stop him from dancing with not only his daughter but everyone at the wedding and truly enjoying the party!
When the sun set, it was still warm out and guests spilled out of the tent onto the grounds, enjoying the evening and admiring the moon overhead. With summer in full bloom, the August light and expansive grounds of The Equinox created such a relaxed, elegant backdrop. From quiet moments across the property to the joyful celebration that followed, Mia and Kyle’s wedding felt warm and sincere.
